The Dutch onion is popular all over the world this season. In week 41, our onions went to no fewer than 86 different countries.

Week 44 is one of the best export weeks of this season and that brings a provisional export figure of 36.013 tons. However, this export figure can still be adjusted by subsequent information. This week the figures from week 40 to week 43 have been adjusted by 1.551 tons. The average export figure now stands at 25.638 tons, which makes for a seasonal total of 461.497 tons. 

Worldwide sales 
The export figures of week 44 confirm that sales for Dutch onions are broad. In this week, 11 countries on 4 continents purchased more than 1.000 tons of Dutch onions. Africa is best represented in this top 5 with 11 countries. Senegal, Ivory Coast and Mali are the largest buyers of Dutch onions worldwide in week 44. Guinea and Mauritania are also represented in the top 11 of largest buyers.
