With a volume of 714.995 tons of onions, exports are on track to reach new levels export record. However, the large figures from the last weeks of 2019 are starting to stagnate. Last week many packing stations were still very busy with the last onions Senegal. In addition to Senegal, Ivory Coast is also cutting back on gas, which means that Dutch exporters now have to miss their largest customers of the past 2 weeks. As a result, it is a lot quieter in the workplace this week.

Because packers are having a much quieter time, bale prices have come under pressure. For the most common grades, €18 to €20 is paid in the bale. Packers still have sufficient stock for the rest of the month, which means that few additional batches are purchased.

The regional stock exchange prices this week will therefore continue in the wake of last week's quotation. Only the Goes stock exchange increases the top of the 60mm upward sorting to €16, but otherwise the quotes show a small minus or an unchanged status.
