For the largest buyers of Dutch onions, onion exporters had to look far away in week 6. But there were the 2 largest buyers of that week.

In the post-Senegal era, it is not necessarily the case that another African country is the largest customer. This honor was given to Malaysia in week 6, which purchased 2.100 tons of onions based on preliminary information. This brings the total that Malaysia has purchased Dutch onions for this season to 50.199 tons.

African buyers
According to statistics, Bangladesh purchased 1.536 tons of onions in the same week. The country is good for 4.898 tons of onions this season. Places 3 to 5 are African buyers. Ivory Coast is the first with 1.527 tons, good for a total of 98.207 tons. Mauritania ranks 4th in the list of largest buyers with 1.414 tonnes, increasing the season's total to 32.452 tonnes.

Guinea closed the top 5 with a weekly decrease of 1.363 tons and a seasonal decrease of 44.867 tons. A total of more than 2019 tons of onions were exported in the 2020-845.363 season, which corresponds to 26.417 tons per week.
