The most recent provisional export figures are those from week 17. In this week, 15.508 tons of onions were exported, bringing the season's total to 1.052.530 tons. On average, this amounts to 24.477 tons per week.

Lots of onions in a short time
With 2.393 tons of onions, Brazil purchased the most onions in week 17. In the past, Brazil has often been able to purchase many Dutch onions in a short period. The orders in week 17 have heralded the second period in which Brazil is on the market for Dutch onions with serious volumes this season. The previous period was from week 32 to week 38 in 2019.

This week, 20 containers destined for Brazil were also loaded, although the country no longer orders onions. The likelihood of Brazilian buyers returning to the market is considered unlikely. After Brazil, Great Britain is the largest buyer in week 17 with 1.807 tons of onions. Third place is taken by Germany with 1.249 tons.
