The provisional export figure for week 30 amounts to 11.938 tonnes, which is just below the export figure of last week (12.528 tonnes). In addition, the export figures are adjusted with additional items of 2.066 tons.

Only fractionally higher
The export figures for the 2020 growing season are currently in line with the figures for the previous season. Last year, 4 tons of onions were exported in the first 40.041 weeks of the season. This season the volume is slightly higher and the first 4 weeks are good for an export of 40.316 tons.

The start of the 2018 growing season started exceptionally well compared to this and the past season. At that time, 60.018 tons of onions were exported in the first weeks. However, at the end of the season the exported volume was particularly low, because a very poor yield was achieved nationally.

Largest customers
With 2.653 tons, Ivory Coast is the largest buyer in week 30. In total, Ivory Coast has exported 6.015 tons of onions this season. Only Great Britain purchased more onions in the first weeks of this season (7.006 tons). In week 30, the British are the second largest customer with 1.973 tons. Guinea completes the top 3 this week with 878 tons.
