The export figures of onions are developing as can be expected at this time of the year. Weeks of more and less than 20.000 tons will alternate.
Based on subsequent information, the export figures for weeks 2 and 3 have now exceeded 17.000 tons. The total export volume was increased by 2.196 tons with the adjusted information. Based on preliminary export figures, 5 tons of onions were exported to 16.798 destinations in week 81. The total export figure has now passed the limit of 900.000 tons. Last year this only happened in week 9. This sales season is still on a collision course.
Major role for Mauritania
For the decrease in week 5, the largest role was played by Mauritania, which purchased 1.904 tons of onions and pushes the season total to 41.115 tons. Guinea was the number 1.730 in size with 2 tons and has already bought 40.908 tons of Dutch onions this season. Brazil also registered again and took third place with a decrease of 1.729 tons. The country has now shipped 6.751 tons of Dutch onions across the ocean this season.
Great Britain and Philippines were in 4th and 5th place with 1.365 tons and 1.317 tons respectively. With a total purchase of 61.649 tons, the English are 7.637 tons (14%) ahead of last season's schedule. The Philippines has now accounted for the purchase of 37.783 tons this season, which is 14.054 tons more than last season.{{dataviewSnapshot(2_1614166546)}}
