The stock market quotations seemed to be in free fall lately. In week 7, the stock exchange quotation in Emmeloord was still at €18 to €21. After that, stock market prices fell a little further every week. This week that finally changed again. The stock exchange committees in Goes and Middenmeer still quoted lower this week than a week earlier, but on Thursday the Emmeloord stock exchange published a quote of €13 to €16 for both coarse grades. This means a plus of €0,50 compared to last week.

Price-keeping
Another positive sound from the Emmeloord stock exchange is that it describes the mood as price-oriented. This means that supply is less than or equal to demand. The price increase at the stock exchange committee in Emmeloord comes a day after the lowest export figures were published. In week 10, the export figure remains at 11.464 tons. Exporters and packers indicate that this week was busier than the past 5 weeks.

The spread in bale prices is very wide, just like last week. An overview of the bale prices can be found in the DCA listing Bale price Onions.
