The export figure of week 17 shows that the largest buyers of onions in that week were next door. What are they and how much did they take?
The export figure for week 17 is 14.878 tonnes based on provisional information. In addition, the export result has been increased by 613 tons through subsequent export figures. A total of 1.080.302 tons of onions were exported this season, good for a weekly average of 24.552 tons. Last year, 17 tons of onions were exported up to and including week 1.059.037, a difference of 21.265 tons.
3 countries purchased more than 1.000 tons
The two largest customers were just around the corner in week 2. Great Britain led the way with 17 tons, bringing the export total to 2.799 tons (previous year: 86.856 tons). Germany is in second place with a provisional result of 77.218 tons of imported Dutch onions. Our eastern neighbors have purchased 1.257 tons of onions up to and including week 17, compared to 20.480 tons last year.
Gambia, with 1.158, was the third and last buyer to purchase more than 1.000 tons of onions in the said week. Italy and Ivory Coast filled places 4 and 5 with 992 tons and 888 tons of onions respectively.{{dataviewSnapshot(2_1621424601)}}
