There are few free onions left, so logically there is little trade in old harvest. Many packers have already stopped or are running out of stocks. This ensures that there is still a small group of processors left, who still turn onions and possibly buy some more. A few plots of winter onions were harvested last week. These are just a few plots that do not yet contain many kilos. As expected, the winter onion harvest will get underway next week and - depending on the weather - the necessary plots will be cleared.

Only Emmeloord is still recording
The fact that the onion market is in injury time is visible in the number of regional quotations. The stock exchange committees in Goes and Middenmeer have too few transactions to achieve a listing. Only the stock exchange committee in Emmeloord still notes: €15 to €17 per 100 kilos. The committee characterizes the market as bland.

There is little movement in bale prices. An overview of the bale prices can be found in the DCA listing Bale price Onions.
