The provisional export figure for week 24 is 8.175 tons. A week earlier this was still 11.851 tons. For weeks 19 to 23, more than 1.000 tons were added to the weekly totals based on delayed export data. The season total up to and including week 24 is 1,175 million tons. This means that this season is still on schedule for record exports, but the lead compared to the previous season has shrunk by more than 1.500 tons, amounting to 6.538 tons.

British knocked out of first place
There are some shifts in the most important destinations for Dutch onions. Guinea has overtaken Great Britain as the largest customer with 1.857 tonnes. Great Britain purchased 1.817 tons of onions. For the first time in 11 weeks, exports to the country fell below 2.000 tonnes. Ivory Coast follows at a considerable distance with 866 tons; a halving compared to a week earlier. The Gambia actually purchased more than double the volume of 24 tonnes in week 798 compared to the previous week. The top five is completed by Mauritania with 435 tons.
