Sales of Dutch onions do not disappoint

It is clear from preliminary figures that the export figure for onions from week 31 may also be there. Although it is not a record week, that does not affect the result. How far is the preliminary result from a record?

Based on the first figures, the export result for week 31 amounts to 18.469 tons. This season should therefore cover the harvest years 2016 to 2020; which varied between 18.801 tons and 22.200 tons.

The largest buyer of Dutch onions in week 31 was Ivory Coast with a volume of 5.147 tons. This brings the total exported to Ivory Coast in the new season to 11.834 tons.

British a close second
The British were a close second with a purchase of 2.651 tons, followed by Guinea with an import of 2.045 tons. The countries mentioned are also ranked cumulatively in the same order. Great Britain purchased a total of 9.428 tons of onions and Guinea 6.418 tons.

For the period weeks 28 to 31, the export counter stands at 55.212 tons, compared to 54.322 tons over the same period in the 2020-2021 season and 54.721 tons in the 2019-2020 season. The onions went to buyers in 70 countries. {{dataviewSnapshot(2_1629894041)}}
