The Dutch onion exporters had a very good export week in the week before Christmas. The provisional result stands at 43.203 tons and is the third week with more than 40.000 tons of this season and the best December week ever. Due to subsequent information, the export result has been adjusted upwards by 1.038 tons. The total export result therefore amounts to 768.054 tons, which, calculated over the period week 28 to week 51, is 4.880 tons more than in the record season 2020-2021. This means that an average of 32.002 tons of onions were exported per week.

Best week in Senegal of the season
The largest role for the export result was played by Senegal, which purchased 18.946 tons of onions (43% of the weekly total), making it the best Senegalese week of this season. A total of 155.992 tons of onions were shipped to Senegal, compared to 153.396 tons last season and 143.739 tons in the 2019-2020 season.

With a provisional purchase of 3.326 tons, Ivory Coast compares somewhat poorly compared to Senegal, but the result itself is good. Ivory Coast signed a total of 120.497 tons of Dutch onions up to and including week 51.

Great Britain, Guinea, Philippines, Mauritania and Gambia were buyers with more than 2.000 tons, so that the top 7 accounted for 34.183 tons (79% of the weekly total).{{dataviewSnapshot(2_1641986767)}}
