The export of onions also shows good figures in week 5. Despite all insights, the lead is further expanded and gives the season a positive appearance.
The expectations for the export results of week 5 were not special. It should have been a lean week when the numbers were announced. But with a provisional result of 25.972 tons, we certainly cannot speak of a poor export week. Subsequent information shows an export volume of 296 tons over the period week 1 to week 4. This brings the export result for this season to 920.105 tons, which is 22.938 tons more than the previous season. This means an increase compared to last week of 8.134 tons. The weekly export average is 30.670 tons.
The export result was shaped by Ivory Coast with 4.988 tons, Guinea with 3.632 tons, Great Britain with 2.774 tons and Mauritania with 2.769 tons. Ivory Coast has purchased a total of 146.177 tons this season. After a few weeks of absence, Senegal is back among the buyers with an import of 1.102 tons. This brings the export counter for Senegal for this season to 175.408 tons. The difference with Ivory Coast has therefore fallen to 29.231 tonnes.{{dataviewSnapshot(2_1645701169)}}
