Despite the fact that onion exports show less power in the second half of the marketing season compared to sales in the first half, the result is impressive. The first signals show that the result for week 12 amounts to 17.801 tons. The previously announced export figures for the period weeks 4 to 11 were increased by 2.343 tons due to subsequent reports. The cumulative intermediate level therefore rises to 1.056.421 tons, which is good for an average of 28.551 tons of onions per week. The lead compared to last season has increased to 59.456 tonnes, 5.566 tonnes more than the calculated lead from last week. At the pace of the 2022 export weeks, that is more than 2 weeks.

Great Britain clearly led the way as the largest buyer of Dutch onions with a purchase of 2.932 tons, followed by Guinea with 1.837 tons, Malaysia with 1.601 tons, Mauritania with 1.180 tons, Spain with 1.045 tons and Ivory Coast with 1.010 tons. In total, six countries purchased more than 1.000 tons of onions. The onions in week 12 went to buyers in 76 countries, with Maldives purchasing the smallest quantity at 25 kilos.{{dataviewSnapshot(2_1649917161)}}
