The export result of onions continues to surprise in a positive sense. Week 13, in combination with additional information, also extends the lead further.
With a lead of 65.589 tons (+6,49%) on last season's export result, this season is continuing. Last week this lead turned out to be 59.456 tons and has now been added to 6.133 tons. Based on the most recent export figures, 13 tons of onions were exported in week 19.391. Subsequent information yielded an additional export volume of 417 tons, bringing the cumulative result up to and including week 13 to 1.076.230 tons. This corresponds to 28.321 tons per week.
Ivory Coast is noticeably absent from the list of major buyers
The onions were exported to buyers in 13 countries in week 81. Thailand, together with Egypt, accounted for the purchase of 10 kilos and thus acted as the bottom of the export list. It was the British who set the tone with 3.063 tons, followed by Guinea with 2.294 tons, Mauritania with 1.826 tons, Spain with 1.385 tons and Malaysia with 1.068 tons. Notably absent from the list of largest buyers was Ivory Coast, which only purchased 735 tons of onions.{{dataviewSnapshot(2_1650449577)}}
