Brazil with a dot in the onion export top 5

Based on preliminary information, the export figure for onions in week 18 falls into the 'good-better-best' category. This season has only had to endure four harvest years since 2000, in which more onions were exported in week 18.

The export result for onions still appears to be even more distinguishable from all previous years in terms of realized exports. The lead over the last season, which was a record export year, has now grown to 78.992 tonnes over the period week 28 to week 18. This means that compared to the previous interim position, the lead has grown by 4.243 tonnes (+5,6, XNUMX%).

The provisional export figure for week 18 stands at 19.234 tons. Additional export figures have been submitted for the period weeks 11 to 17. This concerns a total of 720 tons. This brings the cumulative export result for this season to 1.168.451 tons, giving a weekly average of 27.173 tons.

Brazil is a notable customer
In the top 5, which are also the countries that purchased more than 1.000 tons, there is one notable customer, namely Brazil. The Brazilians bought 1.498 tons of onions, which earned them fourth place in the export list. Great Britain tops the list with 2.887 tons, followed by Mauritania with 2.095 tons and Ivory Coast with 1.880 tons. Guinea is in fifth place with a purchase of 5 tons.
