Decrease dip in onions, but still a head start

Compared to week 18, the first figures on onion exports in week 19 show a significant dip. But the lead is not in danger.

Based on preliminary information, the export figure for week 19 is 14.650 tons. Compared to the adjusted export figure of week 18, this is a decline of 5.097 tonnes. The volume of export information received amounts to 1.038 tons, bringing the cumulative count for this season to 1.184.141 tons. 26.912 tons of onions were exported weekly this season. The lead drops by 907 tons, to 78.085 tons.

Largest customer
In the row of buyers, the highest volume of purchased onions is attributed to Great Britain. The British purchased 2.887 tons of onions, followed by Ivory Coast, which purchased 1.880 tons of onions. For Ivory Coast, this season's cumulative export count stands at 167.231 tons. The distance with Senegal has therefore shrunk to 8.466 tonnes.

In week 19, the onions were exported to buyers in 82 countries, with Oman purchasing the smallest volume of onions at 8 kilos.{{dataviewSnapshot(2_1654083823)}}
