With a provisional export result of 16.145 tons of onions in week 20, the dip in sales seems to have been parked. Subsequent information from the period weeks 14 to 19 shows that the export volume will be increased by a total of 510 tons. This means that the cumulative export figure for this season is now above 1,2 million tons, which equates to an average of 26.684 tons per week. The lead compared to the past season, calculated over the period week 28 to week 20, amounts to 78.824 tons. This means an increase of 739 tons, 168 tons less than the largest lead that occurred in week 18.

It was Ivory Coast that purchased the most onions in week 20 based on provisional figures. The export figure remained at 2.563 tonnes, resulting in a cumulative result of 169.794 tonnes. Great Britain signed for 2.628 tons, bringing this season's total export figure to 129.801 tons. A notable major customer was Ukraine with 1.424 tons. The country has purchased 20 tons of onions this season up to and including week 4.792. Mauritania closed the line of buyers who purchased more than 1.000 tons of onions.
