With some delay, but this week export figures for onions have been announced. It in turn provides insight into the progress of sales and thus into the promotions in the purchasing channel.
The provisional export figure for week 29 is 17.624 tons. This figure does not lift this export week to first place, but with subsequent information it could easily happen. This volume amounted to 27 tonnes for weeks 28 and 2.359. As a result, the cumulative export result now stands at 48.256 tons, which is 15.103 tons more than last year over the same period. On average, 16.085 tons of onions were exported per week this season.
The countries that purchased more than 29 tons in week 1.000 have grown to 5. At the top is Ivory Coast, followed by Great Britain, Guinea, Haiti and Nicaragua. The countries mentioned purchased 3.428 tons, 2.260 tons, 1.868 tons, 1.075 tons and 1.046 tons of onions respectively. The buyers came from 69 countries.{{dataviewSnapshot(2_1660319614)}}
