Every week, when the provisional export figures for a new week are published, new insights are provided about the sale of Dutch onions. Granted it's water under the bridge, but that doesn't make it any less interesting.

The provisional export figures for onions in week 33 of 2022 amount to 25.842 tons. Over the period from week 29 to 33, there will be a subsequent volume of 2.318 tons. The cumulative export result of this season, from week 27 onwards, therefore rises to 146.632 tons. This results in a weekly export of 14.663 tons on average.

In week 33, the Ivorians were the largest buyers on the Dutch market. Based on the first data, they bought 4.456 tons, trumping the Senegalese who, with 4.136 tons, had to settle for second place on the list of largest onion buyers. The British followed with 2.266 tons, followed in turn by Malaysia with 1.433 tons, Guinea with 1.366 tons, Belgium with 1.340 tons, Mauritania with 1.286 tons and The Gambia with 1.252 tons.

The buyers came from 73 countries, with Nigeria at the bottom with 5 kilos.{{dataviewSnapshot(2_1662548836)}}
