The latest export figures for Dutch onions show excellent results again. The weekly export result will probably exceed last year's result with additional information, which means that week 37 will go into the books as a record export week.
Senegal was mainly responsible for the good export result of 37.224 tons, with a decrease of 11.588 tons (31%). This was followed by Ivory Coast with 4.298 tons and Great Britain with 2.815 tons. In total, there were ten countries that purchased more than 1.000 tons of onions, together accounting for 29.337 tons, or 79% of the total. So far this season, Senegal has imported 54.486 tons of Dutch onions and Ivory Coast 44.765 tons.
Subsequent information shows an item of 1.617 tons, relating to weeks 34, 35 and 36. The cumulative export result therefore increases to 284.628 tons, which is a plus of 25.848 tons compared to last year.
