In week 46, 27.578 tons of onions were exported. The last time the export figure fell below 30.000 tonnes was in week 40. 2.522 tonnes have been added to the export total based on subsequent information. The total export so far this season amounts to 581.320 tons. The deficit compared to last season has therefore increased to 17.135 tonnes. Compared to the 2020/21 season, there is still a lead of approximately 1.200 tons.

The largest buyer in week 46 was Ivory Coast with 5.642 tons, followed by Great Britain with 3.557 tons and the Dominican Republic, which accounted for 2.284 tons of onions. Notably absent from the top three is Senegal. That country is only in fifth place in the export top this week with a purchase of 1.855 tons of onions. For the entire season, Senegal is still in first place with 96.009 tons, closely followed by Ivory Coast with 93.016 tons.
