In week 25, 4.205 tons of Dutch onions were exported according to the most recent export figures from KCB/GroentenFruithuis. This means a sharp decrease compared to a week earlier when 6.006 tons of onions crossed the border. In total, the export figure for the 2022/23 season now stands at 1,12 million tons of onions.

As in previous weeks, Great Britain remains the largest buyer of Dutch exporters, but with 1.302 tons Great Britain purchases a lot less than previous weeks. At that time the counter was still well above 2.000 and before that 3.000 tons. Sweden stands out at number 2 with 803 tons. Last week the country also had almost the same amount of onions. Germany completes the top 3 with 440 tons. In addition to European destinations, overseas countries can also be found in the top 10. Guinea purchases 116 tons, Trinidad and Tobago 98 tons and Guyana 93 tons.
