ZLTO foreman and Van den Hout called on the mat

Commissioner of the King Wim van de Donk had an 'intensive conversation' with Commissioner Johan van den Hout (SP) and ZLTO chairman Hans Huijbers on Wednesday 5 April 2017. The Commissioner does not want the conflict between the farmers and the deputy to get any worse.

“Over the past few days, that conversation has become a lot more difficult. This is mainly due to the very distorted, offensive and regretted statements and interpretations that have appeared in the media by both men', says Van de Donk.

According to Van de Donk, both parties have promised to improve after the meeting. The Commissioner therefore asks them to keep this in mind during the next discussions.
