Cooperative shares profit

Livestock farmers receive 1.000 euros from feed manufacturer

Livestock farmers who purchase their feed from De Collaboration compound feed can count on a nice windfall. The cooperative shares the benefits of the efficiency drive with its members. In many cases this amounts to approximately 1.000 euros per customer.

The compound feed company from Haastrecht (ZH) says that the windfall is mainly due to the merger with DZ Six. The merger with this other compound feed company was completed in 2016. 'In the past year substantial investments were made in the factory, which means that production can be done even faster, more efficiently and more flexibly', according to the cooperative. According to the company, customization and professional guidance have increased the number of customers.

Due to the cooperative structure, members share in the operating result. In this case, that is 4 euros per tonne of feed purchased. An average livestock farmer purchases between 200 and 250 tons of feed. Calculated, this amounts to a windfall of approximately 1.000 euros.

Just got 7000 back from agrifirm
In other words, they just charged too much.
How could it be otherwise with these brackish wheat prices that the feed prices still rise in line with our selling prices.
Oh well, as long as it somehow comes back it doesn't matter
