29 May 2017 - Esther de Snoo

The heat protocol for livestock transport comes into force on Monday 29 May. This is what the sector organization Vee&Logistiek Nederland has announced. It is the first time this year that the protocol will come into force in order to prevent animal welfare problems.

Part of the heat protocol is that the NVWA starts export inspections for pigs at 4 am. That's 2 hours earlier than usual.
