Arrests for manure fraud

2 October 2017 - Bart-Jan van Zandwijk - 1 reaction

The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) has arrested several people for fraud. It concerns 2 livestock farmers and 3 employees of a contracting company in North Brabant. This was reported by the NVWA on Monday, October 2, 2017.

The suspects are suspected of having modified sampling equipment. An investigation is now being launched into forgery and fraud with manure.

Not properly sealed
The suspects would use this to ensure that the samples are not properly sealed. In this way, other fertilizers can be put into the samples.

Almost all animal manure that passes from one livestock farmer to another farm must be weighed and sampled automatically. These samples are used to determine how many minerals are in the manure. Livestock farmers must account for these amounts of nitrogen and phosphate in their manure accounting.

first a fine for manure pots, which the RVO itself prescribed, because there was not enough manure in it, kon.nu the manure goes in plastic bags, very reliable.
