As of November 1, Henk Feddes will be the new general manager of seed potato trade house Interseed Holland BV. He succeeds Hans Rommens. Under the leadership of Feddes, the company will be further expanded and professionalized, Interseed reports.
Hans Rommens, the current manager of Interseed, takes over the parental farm and therefore leaves. Henk Feddes is well known in the seed potato sector. In his last position he worked for 15 years as a product manager at Stet Holland. Before that, he worked at HZPC, among others.
German subsidiary
Feddes will be responsible for managing, expanding and professionalizing the organisation. Interseed Holland is a subsidiary of the German Interseed Potatoes and potato trading house APF Holland from Dronten. Interseed has its own breeding company in Wittmund, Germany, for the development of new varieties.
Own chips and chips varieties
Interseed has a large acreage of seed potatoes in Germany, the Netherlands, France and the United Kingdom, as it says itself. These are potato varieties developed in-house for the French fries and crisps industry.
Well-known varieties of the trading house are Zorba, Miss Malina, Alanis and the potato chip variety Austin. There is also a new chip variety for the fast food segment: Abilene Russet.
