On Monday, October 30, Trimble presented 2 novelties that can be seen for the first time during the Agritechnica. The new Trimble GFX-750 Android display and the new Trimble Nav-900.
The Nav-900 is a roof module that contains the GPS receiver and the gyroscopes. This makes installation and conversion to other tractors faster. With its 8 inch touchscreen, the GFX is the smaller brother of the successful TMX display and offers extensive options for precision farming such as section control, variable output, wireless data exchange and full ISObus support.
Trimble GFX-750 display
The Trimble GFX-750 runs on Android just like the TMX-2050. Trimble is the only manufacturer to date to provide a precision farming display with Android. "The big advantage of Android is that users know how their smartphone and tablet PC works and of course that you can install apps on them," said Dennis Nijland, director of Trimble importer Agrometius.
The GFX-750 is suitable for automatic steering with a steering motor, CANbus on prepared tractors and hydraulic steering. In addition, the display can control many implements through section control and variable application via ISObus, serial communication or the Field-IQ system.
Trimble Nav-900 receiver
The Trimble Nav-900 roof module houses a GPS receiver that, according to Agrometius, can handle all available correction signals, from DGPS to centimeter-accurate RTK. The receiver works with GPS, Glonass and Galileo satellites and can therefore still determine an accurate position in difficult conditions, such as along trees.
Thanks to the xFill technology, users can continue working without a correction signal for up to 20 minutes. The Nav-900 also contains the steering controller with the 3 gyroscopes of the Trimble Autopilot system. Because there are now 3 components in 1 compact housing, the conversion of the system is quickly done. The 2 new novelties of Agrometius.
