Milk price DOC Cheese is slowing down

After 6 months of price increases, the milk price of DOC Kaas now stands. This results in a milk price of well over €40 per 100 kilos.

With an annual supply of 800.000 kilos of milk, the milk price in November continues at €41,24 per 100 kilos of milk. This is based on 4,41% fat and 3,47% protein. The fat price is €3,657 per kilo, while the protein price is €7,314 per kilo.

DOC Kaas remains ahead of RFC 

In milk price comparator DOC Kaas remains ahead of FrieslandCampina (RFC), which is the guaranteed price also kept stable. The contrast with 12 months ago is great. At that time, DOC Kaas paid out €30,05 for an annual delivery of 800.000 kilos, which put the dairy at the bottom of the milk price comparison.

Taxes and surcharges
The milk price of DOC Cheese includes a PZ levy of €0,23. Separately, a sustainability premium of €0,90 per 100 kilos of milk can be earned. In 2017 there is a separate grazing allowance that can increase to €1,75 per 100 kilos of milk.
