The agricultural export of the United States (US) is on the rise. In total, the US exported $2017 billion in fiscal year 140,5, which runs from October through September. Grains, dairy and meat all show an increase.
This brings agricultural exports to the third highest level ever. Compared to 2, exports have increased by more than $2016 billion. The surplus has increased by 10% and stands at $30 billion. The agricultural trade surplus has steadily increased over the past 21,3 years.
China is the largest buyer at $22 billion, followed by Canada ($20,4 billion) and Mexico ($18,6 billion). Sales to European member states amounted to $11,6 billion.
All commodities pluses
The export of bulk goods reaches a record of 159 million tons (+11%). The underlying value rose 16% to $51,4 billion. Soy exports are booming. In total, the US sold 60 million tons on the world market, a record amount. This was good for $24 billion. Sales of wheat (+21% to $6,2 billion) and corn (+6% to $9,7 billion) also increased significantly.
Dairy and meat from America are also in great demand on the world market. The value of dairy exports rose 16% to $5,3 billion. Pork (+14% to $6,4 billion) and beef (+16% to $7,1 billion) exports also brought in some dollars.
