6% above 3-month Euribor

Agrifirm rewards loyal members with interest surcharge

16 March 2018 - Wouter Baan - 6 comments

The loyal Agrifirm members, who choose to deposit their dividend in a so-called loyalty scheme, receive an interest surcharge that is 6% above the 3-month Euribor.

Based on it 2017 annual result Agrifirm will pay out €25 million in dividend. For the first time, members can now choose to deposit this amount in the newly introduced loyalty scheme. A minimum deposit of €750 applies to claim the interest surcharge. Members who do not want to participate will receive their dividend in May.

Cooperative thought
According to CFO Jaap Vessies, the new arrangement is a sign of extra appreciation. The scheme stems from the cooperative philosophy of the company and is a concrete translation of the new strategy 'Better Together'† The current level of the 3-month Euribor (March 13) stands at -0,327%.

Agrifirm maintains a very good margin on the purchase and sale of products, which is why it can make such a promotion that some people fall for.
Cosun does its utmost to make the payout price as good as possible and anyone who has too much money can make a little more at Cosun than at the bank.

Borrow money from the bank with a 1,5% surcharge and put it away at Agrifirm with a 6% surcharge.
