Annual figures for 2017

Record sales drive profit AgruniekRijnvallei

16 March 2018 - Wouter Baan

From a turnover of €240 million in 2017, AgruniekRijnvallei (AR) is left with €1,65 million at the bottom. This is a quarter more than in 2016. The Gelderland cooperative also records a record high feed sales of 636.000 tons (+1,2%).

The net result takes into account a price reduction of more than €3 million for the purchased animal feeds and crop protection products. This consists of a reduction of €6 per tonne of compound feed and a 3% discount on crop protection products. In total, AR pays out €9,3 million to its members.

Organic plus big
What stands out is the strong growth in the organic animal feed segment of 27,3%. Sales of simple raw materials also rose by more than 10% to 72.000 tons. In its own words, AR Plant performed excellently, with a turnover growth of 4,5%. The turnover of the Welkoop shops, which AR operates, also increased by 9%.
