Decision at Member States

Application deadline CAP payment postponed

2 May 2018 - Anne Jan Doorn

European Member States that wish to postpone the application deadline for CAP payments may do so. This has been confirmed by European Commissioner Phil Hogan.

Payment entitlements in the context of rural development could therefore be applied for until 15 June. However, it is up to the Member States to decide whether they want to use the extension. It means that the deadline has been moved by 1 month.

"The decision of the European Commission to extend this deadline benefits farmers, giving them an extra month to submit their applications and claims," said Hogan.
