Local heavy rain, but also drought

Once again, heavy rainfall has flooded several plots. More than 70 millimeters fell locally in a short time. Most rain fell in the area around Nijmegen, but South Holland, Flevoland and Groningen were also affected.

According to various weather maps, more than 29 millimeters fell in the area around Nijmegen on Tuesday 70 May precipitation† In the North Holland this went towards 50 millimeters. Drought in Germany
There has also been a lot of rain in Germany lately. For example, in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, there was an abundance of rain and hail, while water in Lower Saxony is becoming scarce. There, the Lower Saxony Chamber of Agriculture made an appeal to be careful with the water. This is because agricultural yields could otherwise be endangered.
