Growers from Flevoland who are affiliated with Skylark can participate in the POP3 project 'Flevoland Innovatieland' from next autumn. Through this project, Skylark growers can become acquainted with the latest techniques in crop monitoring, disease diagnosis, soil analysis and weather stations.
The project is financed from the POP3 subsidy and is exclusively for growers from Flevoland who are affiliated with Veldleeuwerik. The aim is to introduce growers to a wide range of new techniques. According to the initiators of the project (HLB/de Groene Vlieg, Aeres Hogeschool and Veldleeuwerik), these techniques can help solve problems in the field of soil, fertilization and crop protection.
Insight into processes
"Participation in this project should give growers more insight into the processes that are important for their business operations. It will also enable them to respond more specifically to the measured variations within their fields," the initiators said in a press release. During the project, the participants are supervised by employees of HLB/de Groene Vlieg and students from Aeres University of Applied Sciences.
There is room for 20 to 25 participants, spread over 2 project years. Recruitment among Skylark growers has already started. Interested parties will receive an information meeting next autumn where all facets of the project will be explained in more detail.
