STAF is not satisfied with correction PBL

8 January 2019 - Tim Roetman

The Agri Facts Foundation (STAF) says it is not satisfied with the correction by the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) about the publication 'Effects of cutting Europe's meat and dairy intake'.

At the beginning of December, the organization submitted a request to the PBL to correct the incorrect information correct, but there it gave PBL not listen to† The agency indicated that an error had been made in the translation. PBL has added the following sentence: "Agricultural emissions account for approximately 9% of the total greenhouse gas emissions in the European Union."

This is what STAF hates now. The foundation firmly states that the percentage should be 2% to 4%, rather than the stated 9%. This 2% to 4% is based on the same studies as the PBL.

STAF demands rectification
The foundation does not ignore it and has sued the PBL for incorrectly informing politicians, stakeholders and media. It also gives a sneer on the website and says that the PBL is seriously lacking in transparency and correctness.
