Crop tour 2019

Follow the weekly updates of the Crop Tour

8 March 2019

The Crop Tour of Boerenbusiness started on Friday, March 1. In this project, 10 potato plots with the Innovator variety and 7 onion plots are monitored during the growing season.

The first onion fields have already been sown in the Netherlands, although the 7 plots that participate in the Crop Tour have yet to be sown. With the current weather forecasts, it will take some time before the first plots are sown.

The same also applies to the potato plots that are part of the Crop Tour of Boerenbusiness participate. It is currently too early to start planting potatoes. When this does happen, you can find it on the page of the Crop Tour.

weekly update
As of week 11, an update will be written every week about the Boerenbusiness Crop tour. There will be an update on the onion plots on Monday and an update on the Innovators on Tuesday.

De Gewastour is also following the plots for the first time this year before they have to be sown and planted. Among other things, nutrients, soil samples and land preparation techniques will be explained.
