The storm of Tuesday 4 June was accompanied by the necessary precipitation. In addition, the onion and potato plots of the Boerenbusiness Precipitation has fallen on crops, although the precipitation amounts are quite variable.
The precipitation moved slowly from the southwest of the country to the northeast of the Netherlands on Tuesday evening, June 4. Most precipitation fell on the onion plot in Tollebeek (Flevoland). 12,2 millimeters fell here on Tuesday.

What is striking is that the precipitation amounts vary greatly locally. For example, only 2,5 millimeters fell on the onion plot in Oeffelt (North Brabant), while 7,1 millimeters fell on the potato plot in Escharen (North Brabant) on Tuesday evening.
There is also a big difference between the plots in Zeeland. On the potato plot in Scharendijke, 9,9 millimeters fell on Tuesday evening, while 30 kilometers away (Kortgene) it was only 3,3 millimeters.
After midnight
The plots in the east of the Netherlands did not have to deal with precipitation until after midnight. Until Wednesday morning 5 June, 2,3 millimeters of precipitation fell on the potato plot in Spijk (Groningen). The plot in Scharendijke also received some extra precipitation last night: 0,3 millimeters.
