Phytophthora: what should you do now?

June 20, 2019

The weather conditions are currently ideal for the development of Phytophthora. In some places an incipient infestation has already been observed. The advice is therefore to use Revus now.

Be alert to the situation in your plot and keep the spraying schedule closed. Working preventively is always better than correcting afterwards; This is especially important with the new, more aggressive strains 'Geel 36' and 'Dark Green 37', which develop faster.

Revus is best used in this early phase of foliage development. The fungicide is strong and grows with the crop, protecting the leaf that is now developing. Moreover, Revus is very rain resistant.

Add Adigor
Many products have a spray interval of approximately 7 days. However, this can be (too) long under critical circumstances. If there is a deviation from the schedule, cymoxanil can always be used as a means of recovery.

On the other hand, it is better to prolong the preventive effect of the means. To do this, add 0,25% Adigor (or 0,5 liter hectare in 200 liters of water) to your usual Phytophthora remedy. Adigor is a new, uniquely formulated excipient that ensures better absorption of the active ingredient. This gives the agents a longer duration of action. Of Adigor you can more easily stick to your regular weekly schedule.
