Grimme will hold the Hot Spot Day at PPO (WUR Open Crops) in Lelystad. This will be an interesting and unique day for anyone interested in the cultivation, harvest and storage of onions, potatoes and carrots.
The idea for the Stew Day arose during the Grimme Technica. After all, there will be no major arable farming event in the Netherlands in 2019. It was a challenge to find a suitable location in a relatively short period of time where the crops are close to each other and where there is space to exhibit machines. PPO (Edelhertweg 1, Lelystad) was very willing to cooperate in this.
Time to harvest
3 hectares per crop have been made available. In addition, the large square can be used during the Hutspotdag, as well as two halls for storing and filling boxes, and for catering. The crops were planted and sown in the spring with machines from Grimme and Stanhay and on September 11 it is time to harvest them.
During the Hutspotdag, demonstrations are given with machines and installations for the harvesting and processing of potatoes, onions and carrots. These demonstrations take place in collaboration with Asa-Lift, Tolsma-Grisnich, Mechatec and the arable farms Blitterswijk Agro, Blok Agro, Mts. de Jong-Vette and Peter van Dorsser.
