ENGIE's innovations often arise from cross-pollination, thanks to the diversity of customers. Condensation drying is an example of this. This is a way to cool and store potatoes and onions independently of the outside air. It is inspired by techniques that ENGIE has successfully applied in the cheese industry for years. The first results in potatoes and onions are now also visible and they are promising.
For example, a number of clients of Henk Tebben, specialist in the south region, see both yields and quality increasing visibly. "Condensation drying allows you to fully tailor the conditions to your product. Every customer receives customization, which is reflected in the result: much less drying, a longer shelf life and a higher yield."

According to Tebben, part of the success lies in ENGIE Refrigeration's regional approach. "I know all my customers personally and often for years. As a result, I know exactly where the needs lie.
