Anyway with 150 tractors on the Malieveld

27 September 2019 - Anne Jan Doorn - 39 comments

In any case, the Agractie organization wants to enter the Malieveld with 1 tractors and 150 trucks during the large farmers' protest on 10 October. The other 2.000 tractors and vehicles will then be parked elsewhere. The municipality of The Hague does not agree with this. Agriculture Minister Carola Schouten has promised to address the farmers in Malieveld.

This will let Agractie know. According to media reports, only five tractors are allowed to drive into the city center after the Malieveld. The other more than 2.000 expected tractor units and vehicles will then have to park at the stadium of ADO Den Haag at the Prins Clausplein on the edge of the city.

However, according to Rens Slootman, spokesperson for Agractie, this will never happen. “Under no circumstances will we be fobbed off to the ADO stadium, because then you will be out of sight.” On Tuesday, in addition to 2.000 vehicles, 10.000 farmers and supporters from all over the Netherlands will go to The Hague to issue a statement in support of the farmer.

According to the current schedule, the first tractors will arrive around The Hague. The police have the organization of Agractie previously promised that the tractors will not be hindered. The police were also asked on 1 October to allow tractors to drive in the right lane on the main highways from all parts of the country in a controlled manner. However, the police have not yet issued a statement.

Although the organization of the Agractie wants the protest to be peaceful, the organization also expects the government (municipality and police) to have a constructive practical attitude to make the protests a success. In this way, public nuisance can be kept to a minimum, the organization states in a statement.

In addition to initiator Bart Kemps, agriculture minister Carola Schouten has also promised to speak on stage, Agractie reports. Agricultural spokespersons for parties from the House of Representatives also spoke, as did 'agriculturalists' Sieta van Keimpema (livestock farming) and Arjen Schuiling. A well-known Dutchman is also announced, but no name has yet been released.

De donation campaign for the organization of protest action has yielded almost €27 according to the latest position of Friday afternoon, September 40.000. That is only about a quarter of the intended goal of €150.000. The organization therefore calls on everyone to donate on social media. After a quiet start, more and more companies in the agribusiness are openly showing their support for the organisation. Large cooperatives such as ForFarmers, Agrifirm and Voergroep Zuid, as well as De Heus, Vion and Trioliet are now official partners of the Agractie.

Another action that is being organized in addition to the farmers' protest is Donate Your Tractor† The participating farmers are hereby called upon to hand in toy tractors. The tractors will be offered on 1 October in The Hague to children with parents who have little to spend. #DoneerJeTrekkertje is an initiative of 'Farmers of the Netherlands'.

If they don't give us passage, it won't go without a fight!!
Farmers be prepared. Put on the burkas already!! and armed in the field!
??? !!! 27 September 2019
think before you start.

pull up the milk!!! (LITERALLY: LEVERSTOP provides direct insight into the results of this cabinet.)

being stupid with a row of tractors only gives negative stories. ignoring stop signs etc. ensures that you will NEVER be heard again THE HAGUE has received an argument: better to lose farmers than rich
Yellow 27 September 2019
Not without a fight?! Act normally. You destroy more than we like!
What do you think you're getting out of a government-sanctioned demonstration?! How deep can you sink? All obedient in line at the Malieveld and obediently home again at five o'clock when Uncle Agent asks for it...?
Farmers are sick and tired of being put in the damn corner, and rightly so. But to drive down the a6 with tractors and cause some nuisance that will only bother us is not the right way.
Rather give LTO its f*ck and make sure that the people who get paid get something done!!! And if that doesn't work, we all throw in a few million to get representative people with substantive knowledge and solid experience on TV and in the newspapers. And not in the trade journals, because we only read them ourselves.
And besides, get out of that victim role, go into business and make something of your company, entrepreneurs don't sleeves but earn money.
peter 27 September 2019
The best part is that if you have to drive through a barricade, it will be done by a farmer who is either bankrupt or has not long to live!!
Bert 27 September 2019
Finally, action is taken
If demands are made on our food, then there must also be a good price in return!!!!
shoemakers 1 27 September 2019
the requirements are only that we will not be able to go along with the import, if we are not allowed to do the same as others, but are allowed to import the others, yes, and then they also dare to have a level playing field here if someone does not agree follows the ridiculous rules. How far can you go in discrimination, the government seems very far
Joost 28 September 2019
What do you demand then?
Better prices? then you have to produce less.
Fewer rules? We all want that
More income? Then you have to adapt
More nitrogen space? Then you shouldn't let so much free food come from Brasil
More space? That's enough outside the Netherlands
In other words, what do you actually want.
Drent 28 September 2019
no Joost, you do not understand, this is not about money but about rules such as setting high standards here and then filling the shelves with products from abroad where substances are still being used that have long been banned here
dirk 28 September 2019
Joost understands nothing of the matter, indoctrination apparently destroys much more, ways of thinking are worked into it from an early age. Unfortunately you can't do anything about it.
jp 28 September 2019
the moment the Randstad is going to drown, we desperately need that Trump fence here....
Jan Veltkamp 28 September 2019
If you are not allowed to enter the Malieveld with the tractor, then just continue driving through The Hague. Just neat according to the traffic rules, but a bit slow. If 100 or 200 tractors do that, the Hague will be closed in no time. The whole of Denhaag knows that they can and should take agriculture better into account.
hosternokke 28 September 2019
all farmers do well at once, whether you produce milk, meat, fruit, potatoes, or whatever, all peacefully hit the road on October 1st throughout the Netherlands and not as I hear now, I didn't ask for time, etc. .. it has already gone way too far with peasant this peasant that . .. but every day good food from that farmer ... ..colleagues we will take this even longer no so ?until October 1
by Jong 28 September 2019
let's keep a cool head and don't act like a bunch of crazy farmers in The Hague, that only gives negative attention and we achieve the opposite. Also in your own environment, enter into a dialogue with citizens and the government. With an open conversation and respect you achieve more than with hard actions.
Ronald 28 September 2019
Nice message. But FORFARMERS is not a cooperative! Let's make that clear for once!
Johnny 28 September 2019
If you mention names of companies that support Agractie, name them all and don't forget one!!!!
peter 28 September 2019
dear farmers,

Calling foreign media on Monday!, so that they can also film that the Dutch farmers are more than SAT!
The policy of The Hague, EU and Paris agreements to pull the economy out of the doldrums and deport farmers (half MUST stop D66) to Auswitch!!!!
frog 28 September 2019
Please realize that not everyone supports this action so please keep it tidy, because we are all looked at!
peter 28 September 2019
@kikker What do you have to lose as a farmer? † † † †
hosternokke 28 September 2019
disrespectful crazy government!!! with regard to companies that should visibly support this demonstration, there are plenty, including agrifirm czav, but the guts? By the way, what comes from zlto? lean backwards ?
pieter 28 September 2019
ZLTO is shaking at home
Jan Jaap 28 September 2019
@ Joost.
Do you enjoy posting your provocative comments over and over again? pathetic. seek help man!!!
hosternokke 28 September 2019
Pieter .....and lost the right cap..
Johan 28 September 2019
Don't own a smartphone. Does anyone know if certain places are collected first. Would be nice to know.
peter 28 September 2019
@Johan we can't say too much here are anti-humans present? We'll see you on the Mali field!
L. Beem 29 September 2019
As a retired citizen , I fully support you .
Bullying farmers must end.
Not only farmers, but also retired elderly and working citizens are being crushed by the government boot.
Zeeuw 29 September 2019
Well that's going to hit again.
Who is our charismatic spokesman who will answer all difficult questions in a neat and decent way???????

I expect that we will once again be dismissed as a bunch of clumsy farmers, a lot of noise, few concrete requirements for a problem that is simply not easy to solve.

Indeed. downsizing will partly help, but no one wants to hear that, especially not because most dairy farmers have been smart enough to participate in the free market...
in other words, have become neck-deep in debt and simply cannot stop.

Good luck everyone Tuesday, I'll watch the late nights shows in the evening where we are ridiculed again.
bear 29 September 2019
You already read that the farmers already disagree with each other.... that's just what they want to see

I tend to disagree.
Miss Piggy 30 September 2019
Guys let's keep it decent Tuesday. It is important that we show that we are not those "dumb" farmers, but entrepreneurs.

We have to show that we are proud of the fact that we are part of safe food production in the Netherlands!
frog 30 September 2019
1 advice please don't take an old dumb peasant in clogs in dirty everywhere with a cigar in his head, because this is the person who wants the press in front of the camera and who will embarrass us again!
peter 30 September 2019
These older farmers with cigar on clogs have to be there. WE farmers don't have to be secretive from anyone, because people with a 4-piece suit don't work on the farm, they feel too good for that!!! They want to tell others how to do the job!!!!
theon 30 September 2019
Farmers are certainly not stupid! They have a great responsibility!
But don't be fooled by those arrogant people, who do nothing
performs and wants to serve. Very right that they are taking action!
peasant 30 September 2019
Unfortunately I can't be there but I wish you good luck and if the result is too poor (which is very likely) then the next step
Block DISTRIBUTION CENTERS, about 5 days, then it will become a bit clearer for many
Start in the west of the country where the canal belt howler monkeys are.
Frans 30 September 2019

I support Tuesday's action 100 percent
But on Wednesday, politicians forgot about the farmers again.
So along all four-lane and provincial roads on plots of farmers
placing cars with texts that make it clear to politicians that there are more than enough nonsensical rules.
gash 30 September 2019

Let the signal from the peasantry be clear tomorrow; We are fed up with stupid policies and left-wing antics. Fair pay for honest work, and no backdoor deals about food.
This spontaneous action can have major consequences if the bourgeoisie joins in.
Joost 1 October 2019
When I read how unimaginably stupid is being argued by colleagues - farmers - acceptance in society will only deteriorate further because of this action. Logical, too, because your toes just get crooked in your shoes when the stupidity splashes off the screen.
frog 1 October 2019
Good luck everyone and keep it tidy!

And you are certainly just that one smart person who stays at home, right?
