'Protests again if the House does nothing with demands'

1 October 2019 - Anne Jan Doorn - 30 comments

The Farmers Defense Force will protest again in 4 weeks if nothing is done with the action points it submitted to the minister on Tuesday 1 October. Agractie even wants a response from the minister to proposals from the organization within 2 weeks.

"We have set an ultimatum of 4 weeks. If the cabinet does not act within this period with action points that we have submitted, we will protest again," said Sieta van Keimpema, spokesperson for the action group. "We want the House of Representatives to attach concrete action to the protests."

Requirements
A concrete point is that the cabinet is not allowed to take a position on the nitrogen report of the Remkes committee until it has consulted with farmers' representatives. "Like LTO Nederland, we want to discuss this, because it appears that farmers do not have enough confidence in LTO Nederland," says Keimpema.

Other demands of the action group include cost-effective prices for producers and not surrendering livestock because of the nitrogen approach. Unfair trade agreements must also disappear: what cannot be produced here cannot be consumed here.

€17,5 million
Bart Kemp of Agractie presented a plan to Minister Schouten in which it is described in detail what Agractie wants: "There is a budgetary basis that we want €17,5 million every year. We want to use that for fair teaching packages at school and fair prices for the farmer. I want a response from the minister within 2 weeks," says Kemp. Reports are now circulating on social media that farmers want to block Schiphol on October 29 if no action is taken from politics.

Congratulations to Bart Kemp! The best man had presented a very neat presentation to the public. It is a pity that Schouten did not go into the content but only read a piece of paper.

The farmers showed their best side again today. Not obeying traffic rules, police directions, vandalizing, civilly disobeying, illegally transporting people on agricultural vehicles, grossly intimidating, etc. Farmers at their best, but when will they realize they have more and more rules and legislation on their roof, because they always fail to adhere to the imposed rules, which are democratically laid down and established, for a long time to come. As I said, the farmers showed again today that they want to be the king of the Netherlands. If this is your way of winning sympathy, you are terribly wrong. You forget for a moment that you cause 46% of the emissions and you are only 50.000 x4 or 5 is about 250.000 inhabitants of the Netherlands. When will you realize that with 46% of the emissions, and there is probably not even added the consumption of natural gas, diesel, etc., that every member of the farming family, young or old, emits about 60 times more than any other Dutch person. Isn't it time to be called to account for this and that structural measures are finally taken to reduce this.

which emissions? you don't even know what you're talking about man! And those first sentences make no sense at all. You'll be in for a ride if farmers get really mad. these nitrogen rules from Brussels were created by failing politicians, what would you do if they put the bill on you?
dirk 1 October 2019
Sjef@ , if I were you I would never eat anything produced by the farmers again out of protest. Get it from the Ukraine or South America! With your bullshit about 46%, lies that you talk yourself into. Let's measure what's left after deducting what our crops absorb. Looks like indoctrination has got to you.

sjef, according to you we emit 60 times more than the normal Dutch person, but we produce food, what use are you to society then?

Bart you did an extremely GOOD job.
my compliments

Sjef won't get Dutch produced food anymore if it's up to me

Deranged people like Sjef are mainly bothered by themselves, let them eat weeds from a nature reserve.
Bob 1 October 2019
If it's up to me, Sjef doesn't get any food at all!!!
Anja 1 October 2019
Sjef only eats food from the Ukraine and from much further away. Nice to fly over from those countries. A little more respect for your own farmers, friend.
frits 1 October 2019
Sjef, leave figures and conclusions to people who understand them. I also wonder if you would also post this message to this effect at a climate demonstration...
bblogic 1 October 2019
Remove the "natura 2000" label from half of the "postage stamp" nature reserves and the nitrogen problem is solved. Costs absolutely nothing. Even nature doesn't notice anything. In 2019, the government is mainly good at causing problems, and not, as you might expect, at solving them.

No more food for Sjef if it's up to me. An ungrateful dog with blinders on like this should be permanently banned from the supermarket. Perhaps he will then be forced to take the trouble to look at things from a broader perspective. After all, emissions are also offset by the absorption of nitrogen and CO2.

Record number of km. file reached but is a larger record, the citizen understands to be in this historic file. Even city dwellers wrote "I've been on the A12 for an hour, but I stand squarely behind the farmers". Let The Hague know that well.

welcome.

Yesterday we all saw what unanimity among farmers can lead to. Only compliments. Continue to speak with one mouth and stand shoulder to shoulder. It was an honor for me to be present on the Malieveld in The Hague on behalf of the Zeeuwse ZLTO departments. But am I reading the above correctly? Is Sieta van Keimpena now trying to sow division in the ranks the same day? She must have been misquoted I hope.
peter 2 October 2019
Did lto contribute anything to Rinco de Koeijer? I think it is good of Sieta van Keimpema that she wants to be present at the discussions. It is a pity to conclude but lto has had its day! The current generation wants to join the new unions. sorry but unfortunately reality!

I think that division is already there, Rinco? On such a special day as yesterday, LTO apparently still finds it necessary to sit down with Tjeerd de Groot at Nieuwsuur. That while, quite rightly, he was even taken away from the microphone by the organizer, because, like Klaver, he thought it necessary to stir things up for a while. Why then smooth out the folds and make bold statements with regard to the sensitive nitrogen dossier? When I hear Mrs Vedder about area-oriented measures and approach to this dossier, I hope I have misunderstood her. You are not doing yourself a good service as an interest group with this. LTO will have to sit down less in the discussion chair and more closely join these initiatives from the start. Take a good look in the mirror in other words before you blame someone else.

I am always amazed at the numbers that politicians use from the calculations, agriculture 46% and air traffic 1%... I miss (certainly also yesterday in news hour) the hard refutation of these figures from our sector. You can make these numbers however you want, depending on what you do and do not include in these measurements. These numbers are good for politicians. Agriculture is much easier to tackle than the other sectors from which old politicians strongly lobbies and the future jobs of current politicians lie....
And in the Randstad it must be possible to continue to build, of course.

Calon is really the completely wrong man in the wrong place, a pawn of politics.

Nitrogen emissions Schiphol only concerns the emissions below, so not the total emissions of all aircraft flying over the Netherlands, where have those emissions gone?

Emissions from take-offs, landings and taxiing of aircraft and the use of internal transport equipment at airports.
bblogic 2 October 2019
More than half of the land in the Netherlands is used as agricultural land. It is therefore only logical that agriculture emits the most nitrogen. Just as logical as agriculture is home to the most birds, stores the most water, and also produces food. The solution to the nitrogen problem lies in the maze of Natura 2000 areas that have been scattered across the Netherlands. No other European country has done it in such a stupid way. I suggest transferring these labels to the city parks. Starting with the Vondelpark in Amsterdam.

Yes, good plan and the court pond is also very good

I was with you all at the Malieveld from 06:00 to 15:00. From the south of the country purely to support you all. Don't let yourself be destroyed! And keep an eye out for those political rats. When Schouten says; "As far as I'm concerned", that means NOTHING because if others such as EU etc... You can fill it in yourself. It was really heartwarming and overwhelming yesterday. Finally I felt something of pride as a Dutchman again. Felt in no time! With all that wrong shit that people in The Hague are involved in, such as stereotyping toys or transgender promotion and gay lobbying. We are destroying ourselves with this. The wrong is promoted and the good, which includes you as farmers, is destroyed. LET'S STAND STRONG TOGETHER!
Gert 2 October 2019
Agree with @Zuidboer, Eline Vedder added nothing at all to Nieuwsuur, while Tjeerd de Groot thought it was all wonderful and was able to ventilate his message well. Vedder 'forgot' the nitrogen uptake by agriculture, the 100 billion export value and spoke in generalities. Missed opportunity from her (LTO).
??? !!! 2 October 2019
together strong fine, but first turn the neck together lto
jp 2 October 2019
That's right, what I said... immediately have to refute the numbers and put Tjeerd on "manipulated numbers" which, incidentally, news hour also participates very closely. What to think of that 2% working population in agriculture, which should also be wiped off the table right away. All companies linked to agriculture (suppliers, mechanization, transport, advice ect, ect) are not included.
The same with the financial contribution that has contributed nothing at all to the bv Nederland since last night in news hour. What a missed opportunity to go against that completely and to put Tjeerd all the way. You just saw the presenter think 'he's really right' man what a missed opportunity. Also shows how left the broadcaster is....

Keep it up Guys. Am proud of you. You can bet that 3/4 of the Dutch population is behind you.
Tackle those gnomes over there in The Hague
