Aggractie does not want a protest at Schiphol for the time being

2 October 2019 - Anne Jan Doorn - 11 comments

The organization of the farmers' protest on October 1 does not support plans to hold a protest at Schiphol on October 29. Plans by farmers to take the tractors to the airport are circulating on social media. However, the organizing parties want to give politicians the opportunity to respond to the protests.

Both the Farmers Defense Force and Agractie indicate that there are no concrete plans yet if politicians do not act on the message that was issued on 1 October. The organization does indicate that it will make and implement plans if it is necessary.

FDF and Agractie are therefore not cooperating with the rumors that protests will again be held at Schiphol on October 29. Although the organization understands that there is a lot of emotion, it is urged not to immediately throw away the appreciation that was obtained on 1 October. They have distributed a message to this effect on the whatapp groups of the Agractie.

Quite right

Farmers have no business at the airport or other large companies. It is not the fault of these companies that agriculture is affected. They use the rules that exist, just like we do.

By behaving neatly and not leaving any mess, we have left a business card behind. A top sector that respects the environment.

Indeed it is the regulations that are wrong not the airport or big companies. Nitrogen emissions bad for nature? My crops are always too short. Fertilizer was invented for nothing.

This fake news even made the NOS news to create a negative image of farmers. Here too, the left-wing clique is in charge and rumors are already being presented as facts!

Fortunately, if the farmers there start to ignore traffic rules, we will have a bigger problem. Very dangerous development that a group in the Netherlands (with heavy materials in possession) thinks they are above the law.

You can count on the government to tolerate a lot less the moment that these kinds of actions do take place. Then the Defense and ME are called in and the acceptance is over. Agriculture has sent a wonderful signal by shaping a protest without becoming activist (unlike environmental movements, for example). Cherish that it is possible. In my opinion, it would be much better to force the large market parties to think again. This can be done, for example, by blocking distribution centers of large-scale gritters

Distribution centers are alluded to. Makes no sense at all.
There are currently developments in the Netherlands, France, Belgium and Germany to travel to Brussels and make a statement there. You can count on the support of Dutch citizens when there is 1.500 KM in the morning rush hour. Have to wait for the momentum, at least the action of October 1 had that

If farmers want to protest again, they have to go to Wageningen! That is where the policy is substantiated, that is where the reports are made on which politicians base their knowledge. In my view they were in The Hague. If farmers go to the Council of State to request an opinion about drift reduction, there is a very good chance that it will be fired, just like the PAS. Why don't you make use of this democratic right? And why doesn't journalism better inform its readers in this area?

Why don't we use drones at protest? Food and beer manufacturers, as well as supermarkets are killing the farmers. Compensate for shrinkage through higher prices

Dear farmers, don't let fake news tear you apart. I was so proud of you that the demonstration was so peaceful. You've been given so much goodwill don't throw this away by rioters who benefit from it getting out of hand. We know how that works in the Netherlands. All protests are attended by people who benefit from kicking rubbish. This was the first demonstration I watched with goosebumps. Continue to fight for the cause in this way. And green left and D66 that they get a taste of their own medicine with the next election. I will definitely not vote for them.

Let them flatten Schiphol. Complaining about animal cruelty when there are so many people who put their dogs on a tree because they want to go on holiday if necessary.
When farmers are on vacation, someone always takes care of their livestock. I don't mind if Schiphol is dropped off for a day.
