Koning: 'Nitrogen problem concerns us all'

18 October 2019 - Wouter Baan - 10 comments

According to King Willem-Alexander, the nitrogen problem should not be left to the farmers. According to the King, this is a challenge for Dutch society as a whole. He said this to the NOS during his working visit to India.

"The nitrogen problem is new and a solution must be found. This does not only concern agricultural companies, but society as a whole." According to de Koning, we cannot look at comparable approaches in other countries, because this problem is new and unique.

'Happy with support'
Bart Kemp from Agractie, de initiator of the farmers' protest on October 1, reports that he is happy with the support of King Willem-Alexander. "It is good to see that the king is seeking dialogue and not putting the blame on the farmers," he said.

The king has nothing to move, nor can he seek dialogue. Politicians have to do all that, and they can't do anything because they let themselves be held hostage by their natural areas that they have invented themselves....

It's not even natural, because it's all man-made.

Short-sighted, no vision, certainly not for the long term. It probably has to do with the millions of subsidies that have to come from Brussels every year. They shot themselves in the foot with that!
But you see how stupid it is that the House of Representatives has allowed this to happen, because they listen way too much to the green activists, which is now starting to look more and more like terrorists....

Which is also strange in the hearing, that Denmark assumes 300 meters and that Germany does not have to take anything into account and that we count the nitrogen emissions to infinity.

The nature reserves against Germany, on our side millions of farms are being moved and on the German side they are building gigantic chickens and pig farms how is that possible??? A Europe????

Very sympathetic of the king, who probably couldn't stand injustice, following in the footsteps of his grandfather. In addition, he is aware that the vast majority of the population is also on the side of the hard-working farmers. And that they are starting to get fed up with Rutte for eight years....

The words of the king are a great support for the organization and the farmers!
If necessary, many people will again be willing to take action. The truth must come out!
All that dirty play work needs to be tackled! The honest farmers should not have to bleed for that!

We wouldn't have a nitrogen problem here in this country at all, if only we weren't so stupid. The government is stupid, brings in 100 thousands of immigrants, and also wants to house them in ordinary houses, which the Dutch have to wait 15 years for. Trips in the plane, everything should be possible, nothing is too crazy. My advice: stop with idiocy. downsize Schiphol; shut down Lelystad; keep immigrants out and house them in wooden barracks, in the same way as just after the 2nd world war. And farmers need to get into the discussion even harder. The Germans want to stop the food supply for two weeks. No more deliveries to stores and auctions. Good example is good to follow. It is time for everyone to realize who produces our food and that opposition is no longer accepted. Back to basic.

@Connie. Now go and solve your own nitrogen, CO2, particulate matter, phosphate, etc. And don't point at others, let alone immigrants. If others pollute the place, they have to clean it up. The subsidies that we as farmers receive are paid by Randstad residents.
peter 18 October 2019
@Bert cock cake more than 70% in the Randstad receive benefits!

The whole of NL has come to a standstill (construction, farmers who want to expand, etc.) because of a few plants in a nature reserve that cannot tolerate nitrogen, while nothing or no one else is bothered by it. I don't think they track!
Bart de Boer 18 October 2019
@peter enne one hundred percent of farmers receive a subsidy as a benefit.....
† minus a couple of jacks who give a damn to hold up. Even the King is paid for furniture that does not belong to him and is not maintained by him. Also the queen, who in @Connie's reasoning is an immigrant..
peter 19 October 2019
@Bert we only get that subsidy if we comply with a 100-page book of rules and coercion! As a result, the NVWA people have work. Otherwise, these NVWA-ers would also receive a benefit, because REALLY dirty work, these people DO NOT want to tell others how they are not doing their job properly! This again entails additional costs!

For example:

- Mandatory sowing of green manure (otherwise no subsidy)
- sow green manure in good time (otherwise no subsidy)
-the type of seed from which the cotyledon most earned/obtained permission to use! (otherwise no subsidy)
- grow at least 3 different crops (otherwise no subsidy)
- compulsory combined statement to be completed (by an adviser) every year with lots of free company information! (otherwise no subsidy)
-etc etc...........

in other words you get nothing you MUST give a performance in return and you will be paid for that! Those 70% citizens in the Randstad who receive benefits that I am talking about do not have to incur additional costs annually to keep the benefits!!!

@Peter. Your % are so inaccurate, you can still learn something from RIVM. This institute could learn a thing or two from your emotional approach.

the subsidies, or whatever you call them, come from brussels, from a jar that all member states fill. From the Netherlands 2,5% of the tax revenue goes to Brussels, we recover more than 1,5% of this in various ways. I would be more concerned about the 97,5% that is spent in the Netherlands. And that the King says this already indicates that the problem is far) bigger than agriculture alone. Only now are citizens and companies suddenly confronted with these kinds of rules. And giving something in return for money is simply called work!
