'The farmer that is the turner' must be number 1 in Top 2000

19 November 2019 - Susan Drenth - 5 comments

Farm music should be number 1 this year in the Top 2000 of Radio 2. That is what Team Agro NL thinks. The organization calls on everyone to vote for farm numbers by Normal, Men's Choir Karrespoort and Daniël Lohues. So that they come to the top of the so-called list-of-the-lists alongside Queen, The Eagles and Billy Joel.

From December 1 can you vote again? for the Top 2000. Team Agro NL, the promotional network in which farmers and horticulturists work together, says in a statement: "How beautiful it is to have a song about the agricultural sector at number 1 in these turbulent times."

Normally at 1
Team Agro NL would like to see Normal's 'De boer dat is dekeerl' in first place in the Top 2000. Other songs for 2nd and 3rd place are 'Lekker op de trekker' by Men's choir Karrespoor, and 'Op 't countryside' by Daniël Lohues. Places 2 and 3 make less difference to the organisation, as long as 'The farmer that is the turner' normally comes in at number 1. Team Agro NL hopes that the Top 2000 of 2019 will be an ode to farmers.
