FDF cancels action, loose protests on the rise

17 December 2019 - Thomas Doornbos - 8 comments

Farmers Defense Force (FDF) is canceling the announced protest of Wednesday, December 18, because the court says it will not consider the appeal. In the meantime, however, reports are circulating that the farmers are going to take action independently.

Farmers Defense Force had appealed because the judge blocked distribution centers on Tuesday morning, December 17 has forbidden† If this prohibition is violated, Farmers Defense Force will be subject to a penalty of €100.000 per blocked location. In an appeal, FDF hoped to challenge this ruling.

However, the court in Leeuwarden has decided that it is too late for an appeal. After the ruling, Farmers Defense Force first called on distribution centers not to be blocked, but merely to be hindered. FDF has now decided to call on farmers to call off the protests completely.

On its own initiative
However, various messages on social media show that farmers now want to take action on their own. In this way Farmers Defense Force cannot be held liable for the actions. In this way, a penalty cannot be imposed on them.

It's great that the judge forbids demonstrations.
But don't double standards now;
from now on also prohibit all strikes and demonstrations at PRIVATE companies if they hinder the companies in normal business operations.
Anyone who does not agree with something may do so outside working hours without willfully causing damage to these companies

Exit FDF.

This court ruling sets a precedent for future strikes, which considerably reduces the right to strike.

I think interference is allowed.

Why not show every truck driver a 10-minute film about government mismanagement: limited nuisance and no blockage.

No Kjol, this is the right farmers have, they are simply not entitled to anything, exactly what Mark van den Oever said, but then they want you to take back your words

Please keep the actions neat, stick to the law, and try to harass as few citizens as possible. Show that farmers are neat, correct, honest and respectful people who have to work hard to keep their heads above water because of the extra cost-increasing rules that go far beyond EU rules, not to mention world demands.
The supermarkets buy a lot of products from abroad and put them on the shelves UNRECOGNIZABLE.
There are even supermarkets that mislead consumers in such a way that, for example, 99% of consumers THINK that they buy 2-star meat from nature reserves, while 98% in the display case is mainly bulk meat and also some only 2-star meat.
The government has already stolen 1998% of the pig rights in 10 without any compensation. Obligation to use air scrubbers on existing stables without compensation, changes to regulations in 1 day, as a result of which cow farmers who have already entered into financing obligations have encountered major financial and even worse, mental problems, etc.
Wishing you much success and wisdom!
