PhysiomaX proves: higher yield and quality

17 January 2020

The product PhysiomaX was applied last season at 10 locations on practical plots in the Netherlands. The results are positive for both onions and potatoes. On average, a plus in yield of 3,8% was achieved.

PhysiomaX becomes like root hair stimulating calcium used in potato and onion cultivation. Not only for a return, but also to increase internal quality. It is a product of Timac Agro, partner in the Boerenbusiness Crop tour. At 4 locations where PhysiomaX was used, the onions were closely monitored and the growth and development of potatoes at 6 locations. In addition to the higher average yield, there was also a plus in the number of tubers in the salable size.

Good rooting
With PhysiomaX, plant-available calcium, trace elements and the formation of extra absorption roots are ensured. Thanks to this good rooting, the plant is able to use the amount of calcium in the soil – whether or not added by PhysiomaX – for growth and development.

By adding Physio+, a bioactive substance extracted from brown algae, the production of root hairs is continuously stimulated. Root hairs live on average 7 to 10 days after which they die or cork. By providing continuity in the production of root hairs, this ensures better absorption of elements and soil moisture.

More resilient
When the crop grows well in the starting phase, this has a positive influence during the entire cultivation. An onion crop, which naturally has a fairly shallow root system, can better withstand erratic weather conditions such as we have experienced in recent years. In addition, a potato crop will also be able to make better use of its rooting in the ridge. In short PhysiomaX As a root hair, stimulating calcium ensures a better absorption of elements present in the soil and a better absorption of plant-available calcium for good quality.
