Agrifirm and MS Schippers tackle piglet quality

Agrifirm and MS Schippers are entering into a partnership. Agrifirm announced this in a press release on Thursday 6 February. The HyCare method, developed by MS Schippers, has become part of Agrifirm's piglet concept.

Agrifirm's TOP approach to Piglets is aimed at improving piglet quality, together with pig farmers. Customized feed, a piglet scan, advice and monitoring are part of the approach. According to Ron Coppens, sales manager at Agrifirm, hygiene is also an important pillar. “By integrating HyCare, we are taking the next step in piglet quality.” 

HyCare is a hygiene management method, focused on 5 pillars. Together, these should lead to the highest level of biosecurity. Arjan Wermink, HyCare coach at MS Schippers: “By adding our proven method, the yield, animal health and job satisfaction on every pig farm should be increased.” MS Schippers is proud that HyCare has become part of Agrifirm's piglet concept.

First act
The kick-off of the collaboration between Agrifirm and MS Schippers will take place on Thursday 5 March 2020, and is exclusively for invited guests. This is happening at the farm that will be the first to get started with the new piglet concept: Kraam/Pig Hotel Hannen-Mevissers in Heibloem. This is a closed farm with 1.000 sows, 36.000 chickens and 40 hectares of arable farming.
